How to play

Drag a block from the tray into the box. A new block replaces it right away.

Blocks crumble into sand that slides down. When one colour (diagonal neighbours count) links the left edge to the right edge, it clears.

Scoring now and then drops random sand into the box. The game ends when sand piles above the red line near the top.
A little about this puzzle
Sand Blast Puzzle is a falling-sand twist on block puzzles. Every block you place crumbles into grains that slide down the slopes, and while you drag, a preview shows where it will settle and how much sand it will clear.
When sand of one colour connects both sides of the box, the whole patch clears for 10 points a grain. Higher scores bring more frequent random sand in more colours, and every 50,000 points the box is flattened and reshuffled.
A few good questions
Is there a time limit?
No countdown. The box only changes after you place a block, so take your time.
How is scoring calculated?
Every grain you clear is worth 10 points. Clearing more than 50 grains at once sets off a combo effect.
How does the difficulty change?
Every 50,000 points the stage goes up, four stages in all: random sand starts red only, then adds green, yellow and blue, and falls more often. The box is also flattened and reshuffled.
Where is my best score saved?
Only in this browser. Nothing is uploaded and there is no online leaderboard.
